King Faisal Specialist Hospital Achieves Top Recognition in Digital Maturity and AI Innovation

Riyadh:King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH) has been recognized among the top 4% of the world's smart hospitals, according to Newsweek's World's Best Smart Hospitals 2027 rankings. The hospital is one of only 15 globally to secure both a five-ribbon digital maturity rating and the Leader in AI Innovation distinction.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the five-ribbon digital maturity rating was awarded to 21 hospitals, while the Leader in AI Innovation distinction was given to 39 hospitals worldwide. KFSH's Riyadh hospital is among an elite group of 15 hospitals that received both recognitions, a distinction achieved by hospitals in only five countries, including Saudi Arabia, where KFSH ranked 123rd overall.

KFSH's commendable performance is attributed to its integrated approach combining clinical excellence, pioneering research, and advanced digital capabilities. The hospital effectively utilizes artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and intelligent patient-flow management to enhance clinical decision-making, operational efficiency, and patient experience.

The rankings were developed through a collaboration between Newsweek and Statista, incorporating international peer recommendations and the Statista Smart Hospitals Digital Maturity Survey. This survey requires supporting evidence and validation by senior management. Hospitals needed to score at or above the 70th percentile in both AI peer recognition and AI maturity to earn the AI distinction.
