King Faisal Specialist Hospital Foundation to Open New Stroke Unit with Al Jomaih Foundation Support

Riyadh: The King Faisal Specialist Hospital Foundation and the Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Jomaih Foundation have signed a partnership agreement to help establish and equip a stroke unit at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH) in Riyadh.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the unit will cover 870 square meters and have the capacity to treat up to 1,200 patients a year. With a total investment of more than SAR12 million, it will be named in honor of the late Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Jomaih.

CEO of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre Dr. Majid bin Ibrahim Alfayyadh signed the agreement on behalf of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital Foundation. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed Al Jomaih, a member of the Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Jomaih Foundation's Board of Trustees, signed on behalf of the foundation.

'This unit will strengthen our ability to care for critically ill neurological patients, for whom every minute counts,' said Dr. Alfayyadh. 'We appreciate the Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Jomaih Foundation's support and its clear understanding of healthcare priorities. This partnership shows how national institutions can work together to make specialized care available to more patients.'

The partnership reflects the King Faisal Specialist Hospital Foundation's commitment to turning charitable giving into healthcare projects with lasting benefits. It also supports King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre's mission as an independent, sui generis, nonprofit foundation with special legal status, helping it to advance specialized care, research, and innovation to improve patients' lives.
