Amman, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan today met with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez here at Al Husseiniya Palace. On discussing the developments in Gaza, the King of Jordan stressed the importance of stopping the war and protecting civilians, in addition to maximising efforts to provide sustained humanitarian, relief and medical aid to the Gaza Strip. King Abdullah reiterated that peace and stability in the region will only be achieved by reaching a fair solution to the Palestinian cause through a two-state framework. He underscored the importance of continuing to support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to ensure the fulfillment of its mandate in providing essential services.
