Riyadh:King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has extended an invitation to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain to attend the second GCC-EU Summit, which is set to be hosted by Saudi Arabia in October.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the invitation was delivered by Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Bahrain, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, during a meeting with the Bahraini king at Al-Sakhir Palace.

King Hamad expressed his appreciation for the invitation and praised the strong and fraternal ties between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. He emphasized the commitment to further enhance these relations for the benefit of both nations' peoples.

Additionally, King Hamad commended the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in strengthening Saudi-Bahraini relations and highlighted Saudi Arabia's role in promoting joint Gulf action. He expressed his hopes for the GCC-EU Summit to succeed in reinforcing the partnership and cooperation between the GCC states and the EU in their pursuit of mutual interests.
