Jeddah: On behalf of Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jeddah Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi attended the First Knowledge Investment Forum, organized by the University of Jeddah.

According to Saudi Press Agency, President of the University of Jeddah Prof. Obaid Al-Mudhaff stated that the Knowledge Investment Forum represents an institutional pathway to transform research and innovation outputs into applied projects and investment opportunities. This transformation is facilitated through the integration of efforts among colleges and institutes and the establishment of a supportive ecosystem for the transition toward a knowledge-based economy. Prof. Al-Mudhaff emphasized that this direction reflects the university's commitment to converting knowledge into value and innovation into sustainable opportunities with developmental impact.

The forum's objectives include enhancing investment in research and innovation outputs by launching partnerships among the university, the private sector, investors, and funding entities. It features the presentation of the first portfolio of investment-ready projects in areas such as education, technology, innovation, and training. The initiative aims to activate knowledge investment as a sustainable source of income and integrate efforts within the university under an institutional umbrella, driving this direction forward.
