New York:Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, signed a joint executive program with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Barham Salih. This agreement aims to provide shelter for Syrian families returning to their country during the upcoming winter.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the signing took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. The program will rehabilitate 987 damaged homes, creating safe, habitable living spaces for returning families. In addition, 10,768 winter kits will be distributed, which include high-thermal-insulation blankets, plastic sheeting (tarpaulins), and winter clothing and jackets to protect families from severe cold.

This initiative will benefit 58,625 individuals across Aleppo, Rural Damascus (Reef Dimashq), Deir Ezzor, Idlib, and Homs, focusing on those in need, female heads of households, widows, children, and the elderly. The agreement is part of ongoing efforts by the Kingdom, through KSrelief, to support the voluntary return of Syrian families, aiming to provide stability and a dignified living environment while enhancing the resilience of vulnerable groups.
