Shabwah: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) concluded two training courses on active teaching methods for teachers of illiterate students and individuals with disabilities in the Ataq Directorate, Shabwah Governorate, on Saturday.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this initiative is part of the second phase of a project designed to address capacity development needs for teaching illiterate students and individuals with disabilities in Yemen. The Director of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor office in Shabwah Governorate, Ali Ameir, emphasized the importance of these courses in building the capacities of educational staff, particularly teachers working with illiterate students and individuals with disabilities. He expressed sincere gratitude to KSrelief for its support of these vital educational activities.

The project aims to strengthen the institutional capacities of government centers and schools in the governorates of Aden, Lahj, Dhala, Shabwah, Hadhramaut, and Al-Maharah in the areas of protection, care, and rehabilitation for individuals with disabilities, as well as in literacy education. This is achieved through enhancing educational infrastructure to improve outcomes in the disability education system and literacy programs, benefiting 8,975 individuals.

This initiative is part of the Kingdom’s broader humanitarian and relief efforts through KSrelief, addressing key challenges faced by educational institutions in supporting children with disabilities and advancing literacy programs.
