KSrelief Concludes Nutrition-sensitive Agriculture Course in Aden

Aden– Supported by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), a nutrition-sensitive agriculture course concluded yesterday in Aden, as part of the emergency livelihood assistance project of population affected by the conflict and the COVID-19 pandemic, which is implemented by Food and Agriculture Organization in coordination with the Yemeni Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and the Fishery.

The course benefited 32 female participants from Al-Muqatarh, Al-Qubeitah, Taban, and Halmin districts in Lahij Governorate, where their received farmers’ training on knowledge and concepts to develop capabilities in the nutrition-sensitive agriculture with the aim of limiting the risks of malnutrition.

The emergency livelihood assistance project for the people affected by the conflict and the COVID-19 aims to distribute agricultural production inputs to 24,030 affected households in the governorates of Lahij and Al-Dali in a way that contributes to improving their food and nutrition security.
