Riyadh– Three joint agreements were signed today by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) and a civil society organization to carry out a series of health and environmental projects for Yemen.

Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Bayez, Assistant General Supervisor of KSrelief for Operations and Programs, signed the agreements at the center’s Riyadh headquarters. According to the first agreement, Al-Ja’dah Health Center in Hayran District in Hajjah Governorate will operate with the goal of improving the health status of the people and reducing the death and disease rate by offering integrated primary health services in the Midi district, according to Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Moallem, director of the center’s Health and Environmental Aid Department.

Al-Moallem added that the second agreement aims to implement the water supply and environmental sanitation project in the districts of Hiran, Midi, Abs, and Haradh in the Hajjah governorate, as well as Al-Azhur camp in the Razeh district of the Saada governorate, with the goal of helping to reduce diseases related to water and sanitation.

Regarding the third agreement, Dr. Al-Moallem said that it calls for the operation and establishment of a mobile medical clinic system in Hajjah Governorate’s Waalan, Abs, Al-Gharza, and Al-Dair regions. This system is intended to preserve the lives of the displaced and host communities by utilizing an integrated strategy to improve health care for some of the governorate’s districts, in addition to setting up mobile clinics and securing medications and medical supplies.
