KSrelief, UNHCR Sign Cooperation Agreement to Provide Protection Services to Most Vulnerable Groups in Yemen

Riyadh– King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed yesterday a cooperation agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to provide protection services to the most vulnerable families, displaced people and refugees in several Yemeni governorates; 111,525 people are bound to benefit directly and 148,700 indirectly from the services.

The agreement was signed by Adviser at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of KSrelief Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah and UNHCR’s Filippo Grandi on the sidelines of the 3rd Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum (RIHF3).

Under the agreement, psychosocial support and specialized protection services will be provided to the most vulnerable groups and health care providers, and awareness-raising programmes will be carried out among refugees and displaced people.

The agreement is part of the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to enhance the protection of refugees and displaced people in some Yemeni governorates.
