KSrelief’s Masam Project Clears 840 Mines from Yemeni Lands in One Week

Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre’s (KSrelief) Project for Clearing Yemeni Lands of Mines (Masam) removed 840 mines across various regions during the second week of February 2026. The operation included 16 anti-personnel mines, 149 anti-tank mines, 660 unexploded ordnance, and 15 improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

According to Saudi Press Agency, this brings the total number of mines cleared in February to 4,006, while the cumulative number since the launch of the Masam project has reached 541,511. These mines, planted indiscriminately across Yemen, have caused the deaths of children, women, and the elderly, instilling fear among civilian populations.

Through this initiative, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, via its humanitarian arm KSrelief, continues its mission to clear Yemeni lands of mines, enhancing civilian safety and enabling communities to live with dignity and security.
