KSrelief’s Masam Project Removes 1,590 Mines Across Yemeni Territories During One Week

Mecca: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Masam project for clearing landmines in Yemen succeeded during the third week of May 2026 in removing 1,590 mines across various regions of Yemen, including 113 anti-tank mines, 11 anti-personnel mines, 1,461 unexploded ordnances, and five explosive devices.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the total number of mines removed since the beginning of May has risen to 4,714, while the total since the launch of the project reached 562,730 mines. These mines have been planted indiscriminately in various Yemeni territories, posing a significant threat to civilian lives.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, continues its efforts to clear Yemeni lands of mines, contributing to civilian safety and enabling a dignified and secure life for the Yemeni people.
