Launch of ‘Maee’ Award to Promote National Innovation and Foster a Culture of Water Conservation

Riyadh: Under the patronage of Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Mansour Almushaiti, the National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center has launched the "My Water (Maee)" Award. This initiative is part of the center's strategic efforts to promote innovation, encourage excellence in water efficiency and conservation, and foster a culture of water sustainability across various sectors and segments of society.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the award aims to raise awareness about the importance of water efficiency and conservation, encourage the adoption of best practices, and recognize outstanding achievements with a lasting, sustainable impact. It also seeks to create a competitive environment that stimulates innovation and showcases initiatives supporting the efficient use of water resources.

The award was introduced during the Saudi Water Week, which is taking place from June 28 to July 2, 2026, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jeddah. The event gathers specialists and organizations involved in the water sector, highlighting the center's commitment to advancing water sustainability and encouraging high-impact initiatives and practices that improve water-use efficiency and help preserve water resources for future generations.
