Saudi Arabia dismisses report about Kashoggi
Istanbul, An official at the Saudi Consulate General in Istanbul dismissed the report that Saudi citizen Jamal Kashoggi had been killed in the Consulate.
The official strongly denounced these baseless allegations, and expressed his doubt that they came from Turkish officials who are informed of the investigation or are authorised to comment on the issue, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The source also said that a security delegation of Saudi investigators arrived in Istanbul on Saturday based upon a request by the Saudi government that the Turkish authorities accepted.
The delegation is in Istanbul to assist in the investigations regarding the disappearance of Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi, the source added.
The source stressed that Saudi Arabia holds the safety and wellbeing of its citizens wherever they are, and that their relevant authorities are diligently following up on this matter to uncover the complete facts.
