Tripoli-- Libya condemned the burning of copies of the Holy Quran by some extremists in Sweden, stressing that it is a deliberate attack to provoke the feelings of Muslims around the world.

In a statement issued today, the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and to take a serious stand against these unacceptable acts.
