The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the implementation of three inspection campaigns, which resulted in monitoring a number of violations related to the provisions of a number of regulating laws, especially the Labour Market Regulatory Authority Law and the Residency Law in Bahrain.
The authority continues to intensify joint efforts to activate regulatory tools to address illegal practices in the labour market, to ensure its fairness and stability, and enhance its productivity.
The LMRA noted that legal measures were taken regarding the observed violations.
LMRA pointed to the implementation of inspection campaigns in the Capital Governorate, the first campaign was in coordination with Ministry of Labour.
The second campaign was in coordination with the Sentence Enforcement Department as the third campaign was in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and the Governorate Police Directorate.
The authority renewed its call to all members of the society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labour practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website or by calling the authority’s call centre.
