Madinah: Madinah Buses project, overseen by the Al Madinah Region Development Authority, has announced the temporary suspension of its public transportation services beginning at noon on the 9th of Dhu Al-Hijjah, 1447 AH. This strategic pause is a key component of the logistical arrangements for the Hajj season, with normal operations scheduled to resume on the morning of the second day of Eid Al-Adha.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this procedural adjustment aligns with the comprehensively approved operational plans for Hajj. It is specifically designed to optimize citywide traffic flow and elevate the overall efficiency of logistical services provided during the peak pilgrimage period.
Despite the temporary halt in general transit, the project management reaffirmed its ongoing dedication to serving residents and visitors, notably through its specialized shuttle operations to the Prophet's Mosque and Quba Mosque. Commuters are encouraged to monitor the project's official social media platforms for real-time updates and revised operating schedules.
