MAEE Launches Hajj Water-Saving Initiative at Holy Sites with 3,000 Signs

Makkah: The National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center (MAEE) launched an awareness initiative aimed at promoting water conservation among Hajj pilgrims at the holy sites. The initiative carries the slogan of MAEE's water-saving campaign, 'By water we live; by preserving it, we are rewarded,' and is being implemented in cooperation with Kidana Development Company.

According to Saudi Press Agency, as part of the initiative, more than 3,000 awareness signs were installed at restroom and wudu (ablution) facilities. The signs encourage pilgrims to use water efficiently and emphasize that 0.75 liters of water is sufficient for wudu.

To ensure the messages reach pilgrims of various nationalities, the awareness content was translated into 11 international languages, helping promote positive water-conservation practices.
