Makkah Deputy Governor and Hajj Minister Discuss Operational Successes for 1447 AH Season

Makkah: Makkah Region Deputy Governor Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz met with Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfig Al-Rabiah in Mina to review the operational achievements for the 1447 AH Hajj season. The meeting focused on the successful coordination between various agencies that improved crowd management, transportation, and services for pilgrims.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the operational metrics demonstrated significant progress, with transportation plans effectively managing the movement of pilgrims. On the Day of Tarwiyah, 60% of the pilgrims were directed to Mina, while 40% were transported to Arafat. The use of digital tools was also highlighted, with the Nusuk card achieving over four million electronic readings by Eid Al-Adha. Additionally, more than 95,000 field inspection tours were conducted, leading to a 39% reduction in operational observations compared to the previous year.
