The prime minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, received today, Wednesday, the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Plasschaert.

During the meeting, the prime minister stressed the need not to postpone the elections again and sacrifice them, in compliance with the wishes of any force or party seeking to postpone the democratic process.

The meeting also discussed the latest developments in the Iraqi situation and its developments, in addition to stressing the guarantee of constitutional rights and financial entitlements for the Kurdistan region.
