The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, confirmed that burning the Holy Qur’an does not fall within the framework of freedom of expression in any way.

He said in a message: "The unjust act of burning the Holy Qur'an does not fall within the framework of freedom of expression in any way and has no justification. Rather, it is considered a wound to the feelings of all Muslims in the world, and we strongly condemn this act."

He stressed that such actions contradict the spirit of harmony and coexistence.
