Nouakchott: The Islamic Republic of Mauritania has issued a strong denunciation of recent drone attacks targeting oil facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These attacks were reportedly launched from Iraqi territory.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Mauritanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad released a statement on Wednesday expressing its condemnation. The statement emphasized Mauritania's unwavering support for Saudi Arabia, underscoring its solidarity with the Kingdom's right to safeguard its sovereignty and vital infrastructure.

The Mauritanian government reiterated its commitment to standing by Saudi Arabia, affirming its support for any measures necessary to ensure the security and territorial integrity of the Kingdom. This position highlights the close ties between Mauritania and Saudi Arabia, as well as Mauritania's stance against acts threatening regional stability.
