Maysan Operations Commander, Lieutenant General Muhammad Jassem Al-Zubaidi, praised the role of the media in conveying the truth and highlighting the activities of the security forces.

Al-Zubaidi affirmed, during his meeting with the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate branch in Maysan, Samir Al-Saad," his support for the press and journalists and facilitating their tasks," appreciating the efforts made by the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate branch in conveying the free and honest word to the community as a response to some of the voices that lived on falsifying facts and spreading false information that is intended to destabilize security and stability in the province.

For his part, Al-Saad praised the role of the Operations Command in extending security and law enforcement and restricting weapons to the state, stressing the cooperation of the branch with the Operations Command in transferring and delivering real information to citizens without frills and addressing malicious rumors that try to undermine the role of the security forces and destabilize the security and stability in the governorate.

Al-Zubaidi discussed with the head of the branch and his accompanying delegation a number of issues related to media and journalistic work, and the need to overcome obstacles in front of media colleagues and facilitate their tasks in government departments so that they can perform their job with full transparency and clarity.
