Bukhari visits Armenian Orthodox Catholicosate, meets Aram I Keshishian
Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, visited on Tuesday the Armenian Orthodox Catholicosate in Antelias where he met with Catholicos Aram I Keshishian, in the presence of Tachnag Party Secretary General, MP Hagop Pakradounian.
Welcoming Ambassador Bukhari at the Catholicosate, Catholicos Keshishian said that the Armenian people and the Church have historical and positive relations with the Arab peoples in the region, saying that the Catholicosate plays a role in all activities of Islamic-Christian dialogue.
The prelate praised the role of Saudi Arabia in all activities of dialogue and communication with all religious communities in Lebanon and in the world.
Ambassador Bukhari, in turn, said his visit to the Catholicosate illustrates his country's support for just causes, and its commitment to the virtue of justice, moderation, humanity, and support for the oppressed.
Bukhari said his country looks forward to deepening the bonds of friendship, rapprochement and openness with the Catholicosate in the name of justice, morality and moderation.
After the meeting, Bukhari, accompanied by Pakradounian, moved to the Armenian Martyrs' Memorial in the Catholicosate courtyard, where he laid a wreath.
