Gambian President receives OIC Secretary-General
Jeddah– The Gambian President Adama Barrow received today the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hussein Ibrahim Taha, who is on an official visit to The Gambia.
The Gambian President welcomed the Secretary-General, wishing him further success in his mission, highlighting the Organization’s efforts and contributions to joint Islamic action, as well as his country’s hosting of the upcoming Islamic Summit, and its keenness to ensure all means for its success.
The Secretary-General praised the Gambian role within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and its role in defending the cause of the Muslim Rohingya community, stressing that OIC is keen for further cooperation and coordination with The Gambia in various fields.
