Minister of Commerce Presents Saudi Economic Integration Vision at G20 Trade and Investment Ministers Meeting in India

Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi concluded today his participation in the Group of Twenty (G20) Trade and Investment Ministers’ Meeting, which took place on August 24 – 25 in Jaipur, India.

Al-Qasabi participated in many sessions, where he presented the features of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to enhance Saudi economic integration regionally and internationally as well as the main gains to the Kingdom’s competitiveness.

The minister attended sessions on trade for growth and prosperity, World Trade Organization (WTO) reforms, global supply chains for trade, and integration of micro, small, and medium enterprises in global trade.

Al-Qasabi participated in a session on trade logistical services, which was held today with the participation of G20 trade and investment ministers.

Al-Qasabi held 12 bilateral meetings with G20 ministers and high-level officials, discussing the enhancement of trade cooperation and economic relations.

This year, India is hosting G20 under the theme of “One Earth, One Family, One Future” with the aim of building a strong and developed global economy.

Over the course of two days, the G20 Trade and Investment Ministers’ Meeting focused on several issues, including tackling challenges facing the global economy.

The meetings of the group this year discussed the need for a more flexible and comprehensive commercial system, and directing global supply chains toward complete, flexible, and sustainable development after a decade-long stagnation.
