Minister of Electricity, Ziyad Ali, pledged to repair power lines that were blown up in Diyala within a few hours.

The Ministry of Electricity said in a statement, "In defiance of terrorism, and the reconstruction of what was destroyed by those wanted to harm citizens, the Minister of Electricity, Ziyad Ali Fadel, from the site of the explosions of towers and lines east of Baghdad-Diyala, supervised the preparation of equipment and mechanisms, announcing the immediate start of the ministry's staff to rebuild what had been done of sabotage it with explosive devices.”

The minister said, according to the statement, "We are the army of light and the vandals are the army of darkness, and we will cut off their path with their malicious attempts to cut off electricity from hospitals, water projects, and other vital projects, and we will be the first line of services, just as our brothers, the military and security forces, are the first line of resistance."

He added, "Now we are working, and after hours, we will finish restoring the damaged line and towers, in record time and quickly, to serve our people."
