Baghdad - The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, visited today, Monday, the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, the scientific body of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers.
A statement by the Ministry stated: He was received by the university president, Dr. Abdul Majeed bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan.
This visit included viewing all departments and joints of the university, where the Minister listened to a detailed explanation of the university's departments, their origins, their goals, and their efforts to serve common Arab security.
During this visit, prospects for developing joint work between the university and the Iraqi Ministry of Interior were also discussed in order to achieve the common goals and mission.
Al-Shammari praised the efforts made in this university, its development and its distinguished scientific status, describing it as a source of pride for all, as it carries an important message and bears a great responsibility in confronting criminal phenomena and achieving security in a comprehensive sense.
Al-Shammari visited the General Directorate for Drug Control in the Kingdom, and was briefed on all departments and centers of international cooperation.
He stressed the need for joint cooperation between the competent authorities in Iraq and Saudi Arabia and to enhance work on exchanging information to maintain the security and stability of the citizen and to expedite the use of all modern means to combat this scourge, which is the other face of global terrorism.
He visited the Office of Combating Crime and Extremism (Etidal Center), where he was briefed on the latest modern technology to follow up on combating global extremism that affects the security and stability of the world in general and the Arab region in particular, praising the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of combating extremism.
