Minister of Islamic Affairs Receives Malaysian Counterpart

Jeddah: Saudi Arabian Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh welcomed in Jeddah today Malaysian Minister of Religious Affairs Dato’ Muhammad Naeem bin Mukhtar and his accompanying delegation. The meeting featured discussions on topics of mutual interest, particularly those concerning Islamic affairs. The Saudi minister highlighted the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia, emphasizing the fruitful outcomes of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two nations. He also reviewed the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts under the ministry’s umbrella to promote a moderate Islamic approach rooted in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Dato’ Muhammad Naeem bin Mukhtar expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom’s significant contributions to serving Islam, Muslims, and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques. He also commended the MoU’s initiatives, including Quranic programs, competitions, and visits by the imams of the Two Holy Mosques, which have had a profound and positive impact on Muslims in Malaysia.

Both ministers reiterated their commitment to strengthening collaboration in Islamic affairs, fostering mutual understanding, and promoting shared values.
