Today, Friday, the Minister of Immigration announced the voluntary return of (293) displaced Yazidis to their areas of original residence in Sinjar.

A statement by the ministry stated, "Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faiq Jabro, announced the voluntary return of (293) Yazidi displaced persons from the displacement camps in Dohuk Governorate to their areas of original residence in Sinjar district, Nineveh Governorate, as part of the ministry's plan to end the displacement file in the country."

She indicated that "the process of transferring the displaced families took place smoothly, in coordination with the relevant security services and local governments, without any significant problems, while directing the ministry's cadres to continue to follow up on the conditions of the families returning to their areas and meet their needs quickly in cooperation with relief organizations and relevant authorities."

Jabro confirmed that "the ministry continues to register displaced families who wish to return voluntarily in all displacement camps located in the Kurdistan region, and to overcome all obstacles that prevent the return of the rest of the displaced to their original areas of residence."
