Ministry of Energy Announces Prequalification for Gas Distribution in Five Industrial Cities

Riyadh: The Ministry of Energy has announced the start of the Prequalification Process for tenders related to the licensing, development, ownership, and operation of natural gas distribution networks in specific industrial cities. These cities include Sudair City for Industry and Businesses, Al-Kharj Industrial City, and Jeddah’s First, Second, and Third Industrial Cities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, interested parties must request the Prequalification Document by emailing [email protected] by October 25. The final date for submitting completed prequalification applications is set for November 29, 2025. Those applicants who successfully meet the prequalification criteria will be invited to submit detailed technical proposals. This process will be conducted in accordance with ‘The Energy Supply Law’ and ‘The Natural Gas and Natural Gas Liquids Activities Regulation’.

This initiative aligns with the government’s strategic plans to enhance energy infrastructures and support industrial development. It coincides with the Master Gas System’s Third Expansion, which aims to support the Liquid Fuel Displacement Program by replacing liquid fuels with natural gas. This program is a part of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to maximize the economic, environmental, and social benefits of the Kingdom’s hydrocarbon resources.
