Ministry of Health Launches ‘Health Thon 4’ Initiative to Enhance Innovation in Healthcare Services During Hajj Season

Makkah: The Ministry of Health launched the 'Health Thon 4' initiative as part of its efforts to promote innovation in the healthcare sector and develop innovative and sustainable healthcare solutions that contribute to enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided to pilgrims, in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030. According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative, which takes the form of a hackathon, aims to support the Hajj healthcare ecosystem in analyzing field challenges and developing practical solutions to enhance the efficiency of healthcare response, particularly in high-density environments, and improve the quality of services provided in the central areas surrounding the Two Holy Mosques. The event is open to all interested participants and will be held at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah from May 6 to May 19, 2026. Registration will remain open until May 14, 2026, through the following link. The initiative comes as part of the Min istry of Health's efforts to promote a culture of innovation and develop sustainable healthcare solutions, contributing to enhancing the efficiency of healthcare services provided to pilgrims and improving their experience.
