Ministry of Interior Concludes Participation in Hajj Media Hub

Riyadh: The Ministry of Interior concluded its participation in the exhibition accompanying the third Hajj Media Hub, organized by the Ministry of Media from May 20 to 23. The hub aimed to raise awareness about the importance of complying with Hajj regulations and instructions to help ensure pilgrims experience a safe pilgrimage.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry showcased at its pavilion a range of AI applications used in crowd management, along with its extensive efforts during the Hajj season to safeguard the security and safety of visitors to the Two Holy Mosques. The ministry also highlighted the Makkah Route Initiative, which is being implemented for the ninth consecutive year through 17 entry points in 10 countries this year.

In addition, the pavilion shed light on the role of security sectors in the 'No Hajj Without a Permit' campaign, as well as the penalties imposed on individuals violating Hajj regulations, including those performing Hajj without a permit and anyone found transporting violators. Visitors were also introduced to the services provided through the unified security operations centers (911), which receive emergency security and humanitarian reports throughout the Kingdom during the Hajj season.
