Ministry of Islamic Affairs Intensifies Scholarly and Digital Efforts for Ramadan 1447 AH

Madinah: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance implements a comprehensive package of programs and initiatives to disseminate Islamic knowledge, promote the use of digital content, and serve the community and pilgrims during the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH. Represented by its Agency for Publications and Scientific Research, the ministry is ensuring 24-hour access to guidance and scholarly projects through the Islamic Electronic Library.

According to Saudi Press Agency, as part of its outreach, the agency is distributing 70,000 Ramadan calendars in Riyadh, Makkah, and Madinah. These calendars feature QR codes that provide direct access to the Islamic Electronic Library. Furthermore, the agency is expanding its technological footprint by installing four interactive screens for the library at Al-Rajhi, King Khalid, Al-Muhaini, and Al-Bawardi mosques in Riyadh, in addition to equipping 70 screens across various regions of the Kingdom.

The agency aims to increase the number of beneficiaries of the digital book download service via these screens to 80,000. It is also adding 50 digital awareness cards specifically for Ramadan to the library's website and mobile application, providing access to over 1,000 educational materials in more than 52 languages.

To further support non-Arabic speakers, the agency is coordinating with translation bodies to translate Umrah and supplication content, as well as awareness materials, into 10 languages. Supporting the influx of visitors during the Umrah season and Ramadan, the agency is supplying the ministry's branches and the General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness in Makkah and Madinah with a total of 1,185,000 printed copies of religious materials and 900,000 informational cards.
