Riyadh:The Ministry of National Guard has been awarded the Excellence Award in the Localization of Military Industries for its significant efforts in transferring technical support contracts for rotary-wing aircraft to local providers through government procurement agreements.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the award was presented during the Military Industries Forum, which was organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI).

The initiative, led by GAMI, aims to recognize military and security entities and companies for their contributions toward Saudi Vision 2030, particularly the goal of localizing over 50% of military spending by 2030.

This achievement underscores the Ministry of National Guard's commitment to bolstering reliance on national capabilities in maintenance and technical support, ensuring supply sustainability, and enhancing the military sector's efficiency.

The award also highlights the support from the Kingdom's leadership for localizing military industries and emphasizes the efforts of Minister of National Guard Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz in developing the ministry's capabilities and advancing its role in achieving Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
