Ministry of Sport Launches Trekking Tour Licensing Service

Riyadh: The Ministry of Sport launched a trekking tour licensing service today to regulate trekking activities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad, in a move aimed at enhancing the quality of the sports and tourism experience and promoting a culture of responsible and sustainable trekking in line with Saudi Vision 2030. According to Saudi Press Agency, the launch of a dedicated trekking licensing section on the Riyadi platform aims to streamline regulatory procedures and ensure that trekking activities, which combine adventure and environmental exploration, are conducted safely and in an organized manner. Applicants can submit permit requests through the platform for review, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to ensure trips comply with regulatory frameworks within the Kingdom and abroad, while also benefiting from other services provided by various entities.
