Mobily Gears Up for Hajj Season with Enhanced Network and Services


Makkah: Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha visited Mobily’s headquarters in Makkah to inspect preparations and operational plans for the Hajj season 1445 AH, and assess Mobily’s readiness to deliver outstanding services to pilgrims in Makkah, Madinah, and the holy sites.

Mobily CEO Eng. Salman Al-Badran briefed Al-Swaha in detail on the services the company offers pilgrims. Al-Badran emphasized Mobily’s commitment to delivering exceptional services during the Hajj season, highlighting its investments in human resources and network expansion. These investments are designed to enrich the pilgrim experience and ensure smooth communication throughout their pilgrimage.

Al-Badran elaborated on Mobily’s network enhancements, which leverage artificial intelligence, automation, and machine learning to optimize performance. Specifically, he mentioned significant network improvements at the Grand Mosque, the Prophet’s Mosque, and other holy sites. Mobily has expanded its 4G an
d 5G network coverage to over 70% of these locations and increased the utilization of the spectrum allocated to these advanced technologies. It bolstered the efficiency of the fiber optic network at the holy sites by 26%.
