Moderate to Heavy Rain Expected in Parts of Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: In its daily weather report, the National Center for Meteorology (NCM) forecast moderate to heavy rain accompanied by hail across parts of Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha regions. Light to moderate rain may fall in parts of Makkah, Madinah, and Najran regions. Dust-stirring winds will blow in these areas, as well as in parts of Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and Northern Borders regions. Fog may form during the night and early morning hours along the coastal areas of Makkah and Eastern regions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 14-40 km/h, northwesterly to westerly at 14-42 km/h, and southeasterly to southwesterly at 10-50 km/h. Waves may range from half a meter to over two meters; the sea will be calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be northwesterly to westerly, shifting to southerly in the evening at speeds of 12-30 km/h, and westerly to southwesterly at 10-25 km/h. Waves may reach half a meter to one meter; the sea will be relatively calm.
