Monsha’at and Swedish Trade Council Forge Path in Entrepreneurship Education

Riyadh: The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Swedish Trade and Invest Council on the sidelines of the Biban 2025 Forum, held at Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center from November 5 to 8, under the theme “A Global Destination for Opportunities.”

According to Saudi Press Agency, the memorandum aims to connect Saudi companies seeking international expansion with Swedish business incubators and accelerators, and to develop training programs for academic leaders specializing in entrepreneurship education. It also seeks to benefit from Sweden’s pioneering experience in applying simulation-based educational programs within entrepreneurship-related curricula.

The memorandum was signed by Monsha’at Vice Governor for Entrepreneurship Saud Alsabhan and Sweden’s Trade Commissioner and head of the council’s office in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Nebe Almayahi, in the presence of Swedish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Petra Menander.

The partnership reflects Monsha’at’s commitment to leveraging global models to support entrepreneurship and foster an enabling educational environment that prepares generations capable of innovation and leadership, in line with Saudi Vision 2030’s goal of building a knowledge-based economy and supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The Biban Forum 2025 witnessed broad participation from international and local entities, with total agreements and deals exceeding SAR22 billion, reinforcing its position as a global platform for creating opportunities and empowering entrepreneurs worldwide.
