Riyadh: The International Falcon Breeders Auction 2026 recorded its most expensive sale of the year on its seventh night, with a mottled gyr (Super White) chick selling for SAR1.3 million, making it the second most expensive falcon in the auction's history. According to Saudi Press Agency, the night featured two falcons from a Canadian farm selling for a combined SAR1.45 million. The first, a pure gyrfalcon chick, opened at SAR40,000 and sold for SAR150,000. The second, a mottled gyr chick, opened at SAR200,000 before selling for SAR1.3 million amid strong bidding. Last year's auction recorded a top sale of SAR1.2 million for a Super White pure gyrfalcon from a US farm, while previous editions saw a record sale of SAR1.75 million for an Ultra White pure mottled gyr chick, the most expensive falcon in the auction's history. The auction continues until August 25, with broadcasts on television channels and live streams on the National Center for Falcons' social media accounts.
