Accra:The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has introduced an initiative aimed at increasing public awareness regarding safety measures during rainfall. This initiative seeks to encourage preventive actions to safeguard both lives and property while emphasizing the community's role in assisting field teams to mitigate weather-related risks.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative underscores the importance of adhering to safety guidelines, steering clear of areas prone to water accumulation and flash floods, and reporting hazards through official channels. It also emphasizes the concept of shared responsibility for ensuring public safety.
The ministry has urged the public to utilize the Balady platform and application or to call 940 to submit municipal reports.
