Arafat: The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, through the Holy Makkah Municipality, has intensified its municipal operations in Arafat by finalizing road, lighting, and utility preparations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, to optimize logistics and shuttle transport, Arafat and Muzdalifah have been divided into three service zones. Each zone is managed by autonomous field teams that are authorized to make real-time adjustments.
Furthermore, environmental sanitation plans have been expanded to accommodate high population densities. This includes the deployment of over 88,000 waste containers, 1,235 compactors, and 113 underground storage facilities.
To prevent traffic disruptions during peak hours, field teams are employing compact equipment and specialized handcarts. This approach is aimed at maintaining high health and safety standards without obstructing pedestrian or vehicular pathways.
