Damascus: The Muslim World League (MWL) condemned the terrorist attack on the Syrian capital, Damascus, which injured a number of security personnel and civilians during an attempt to dismantle two explosive devices planted by a terrorist cell.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement issued by its General Secretariat, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa reaffirmed MWL's position rejecting violence and terrorism in all their forms and under any pretext. He expressed solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic in confronting anything that threatens its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

Al-Issa also expressed his sincere wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured, asking Allah Almighty to protect Syria and its people from all harm.
