Naif Arab University hosts International School on Nuclear Security for Arab-speaking Countries Program

Riyadh, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences is hosting the International School on Nuclear Security for Arabic Speaking Countries, organized virtually by the International Atomic Energy Agency in cooperation with the university and the Saudi Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission, from October 3 to 14.

At the opening of the event, in which 48 specialists from 12 countries are taking part, the university’s Vice-Rector for External Relations and the Acting Director of the International Cooperation Department stressed the importance of continuing the strategic partnership between the two sides to enhance Arab international cooperation in nuclear security, adding that the school provides an extensive overview of nuclear security targeting junior professionals in nuclear security or related institutions in their Arabic-speaking countries.

The school aims to provide the target audience with the basic knowledge and concepts of nuclear security that are necessary to be acquainted with the international standards in this field in addition to the measures to be taken to implement the obligations under the international legal framework for nuclear security.
