National Cybersecurity Authority Launches ‘Order Safely’ Campaign to Promote Secure Online Shopping

Riyadh: The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and the E-Commerce Council, has launched the 'Order Safely' campaign to strengthen cybersecurity culture and promote safe online shopping practices across the Kingdom.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative targets both consumers and e-commerce service providers, encouraging the adoption of secure cyber behaviors to mitigate evolving digital threats and enhance the resilience of the Kingdom's e-commerce ecosystem.

The campaign forms part of broader national awareness programs aimed at elevating cybersecurity literacy among all segments of society. Activities include specialized awareness sessions for consumers and e-commerce providers, the publication of a cybersecurity guide for safe online shopping, and the dissemination of educational materials through digital commerce platforms. The campaign is also being promoted through the social media channels of the 'Aamn' cybersecurity awareness program, in coordination with relevant national entities.

The initiative addresses key risk vectors, including phishing, the activation of cybersecurity protection tools, two-factor authentication (2FA), application security, timely software updates, and secure internet browsing practices. Through structured awareness content tailored to various age groups, the campaign seeks to reduce exposure to cyber threats and strengthen trust in online commercial transactions.
