According to Saudi Press Agency, the reserve hosts prominent species including acacia, haloxylon, saltbush, and wormwood, which stabilize topsoil, curb desertification, and provide vital forage for wildlife through deep root systems and water-retention capabilities.

In addition to supporting local biodiversity, several native species contain biochemical properties valued in pharmacology, modern medicine, and cosmetics. Recent monitoring confirms a noticeable resurgence across protected plant populations, reflecting the success of conservation efforts and vegetation management aligned with the Saudi Green Initiative and Saudi Vision 2030.
