Riyadh:The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has underscored the necessity for organizations offering cybersecurity services, products, or solutions in the Kingdom to register with the authority. This is particularly crucial for activities that do not require a formal license from the NCA, and registration should be completed via the national cybersecurity services portal, "Haseen."
According to Saudi Press Agency, this initiative is designed to bolster the development and regulation of the Kingdom's cybersecurity market and industry. It offers providers of cybersecurity services, products, and solutions the opportunity to capitalize on promising prospects in this sector and meet the growing demand for these services across government, private, and non-profit sectors.
The NCA acts as the primary body for cybersecurity in the Kingdom, serving as the national reference for related issues. Its mission is to enhance cybersecurity to protect the state's vital interests and national security, as well as safeguard critical infrastructure, priority sectors, and government services and operations.
Furthermore, the authority is tasked with fostering the growth of the Kingdom's cybersecurity sector, promoting innovation and investment, and licensing cybersecurity-related activities and operations as deemed necessary by the authority.
