Nepal: The death toll from the devastating floods that struck northern Nepal on Wednesday has risen to 675, authorities confirmed today.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Nepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority stated in a press release that the toll remains preliminary as the number of missing persons continues to rise significantly.

The authority added that the missing include 45 Nepalese army personnel, 40 police officers, and 19 immigration and customs officials.
