According to Saudi Press Agency, the Eurasian golden oriole (Oriolus oriolus) is a migratory songbird distinguished by its striking coloration. It is about 24 cm long, breeds during the summer in parts of Europe and Asia, and spends the winter in Africa. The common cuckoo (Cuculus canorus) is also a migratory bird, distinguished by its long tail and pointed wings. Its plumage is predominantly gray on the upperparts, with pale underparts marked by dark streaks, while some females may have reddish-brown coloration.

Aman Environmental Association member Adnan Khalifa, who is interested in monitoring and documenting wildlife, said that sightings of various migratory bird species in Northern Borders Region reflect the importance of the region's location along seasonal migration routes. He noted that its diverse habitats, including valleys, plains, agricultural areas, and shrublands, provide suitable environments for birds during temporary stopovers on their migration journeys.
