Madinah: The National Water Company (NWC) announced the successful completion of its operational plan for the first visitation phase of Hajj 1447 AH in Madinah, during which more than 22.4 million cubic meters of water were distributed. The plan ensured uninterrupted around-the-clock water supply to the Prophet's Mosque and religious sites, with daily distribution averaging more than 623,600 cubic meters. More than 31,100 laboratory tests were also conducted to verify water quality and compliance with approved standards.
According to Saudi Press Agency, NWC deployed 1,203 technical, engineering, and administrative personnel supported by maintenance teams equipped with modern machinery to address emergencies. Smart operation systems enhanced supply stability through real-time monitoring of water flow and quality.
The company also implemented supporting projects exceeding SAR137.45 million to strengthen water and environmental services and meet growing demand during Hajj. NWC attributed the plan's success to integrated teamwork, early operational planning, and the Kingdom's commitment to serving pilgrims with reliable, high-quality services.
